JAMES S. PROCTOR,

CPA, CFE, CVA, CFF

James (Jim) Proctor is the Principal of Meridian Advantage. He brings over 30 years of fraud, forensic accounting, and expert witness experience to the firm. Throughout his professional career, he has specialized in the practice areas of forensic (investigative) accounting and litigation support.

Jim is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).

Throughout his career, Jim has served as a U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee where he directed and oversaw businesses and individuals in the bankruptcy process and investigated accounting frauds. His expertise has allowed him to have been appointed by courts as a Receiver, Trustee, and Investigative Examiner. Jim was also the managing director of a long-time Reno CPA firm prior to joining Meridian Advantage.

Between his CPA firm’s clients, bankruptcy trustee work, and other accounting related assignments, Jim brings a wide ranging knowledge and experience base to the firm. Jim also has in-depth, firsthand knowledge and experience with gaming and casino operations.

Jim is the recipient of the Nevada Society of CPAs’ Outstanding Community Service Award and serves as the Treasurer for Washoe Legal Services and Northern Nevada International Center, Secretary for Vets with a Mission, and is a member of the City of Reno Financial Advisory Board.

ANDREW E. ROBINSON,

CPA

Andrew (Andy) Robinson has been a CPA for over 20 years and has worked with Meridian Advantage for several years. During his time with Meridian Advantage, he has assisted Mr. Proctor in his role as court appointed Trustee as Receiver in businesses operating in financial distress as well as leading forensic accounting & litigation support engagements. In addition, he also works in the preparation of business valuations.

His experience in the private sector includes Chief Financial Officer for a public company in the gaming manufacturing & leasing industry as well as controller positions in the gaming industry. In addition, Andy’s financial management experience includes extensive internal audit (SOX compliance) and corporate financial planning and analysis. He is well versed in operational management in distressed environments. He has been a licensed gaming executive in the Nevada and California as well as several Tribal jurisdictions.

Andy is a proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. He currently is a board member and Treasurer for Ridge House, Inc. as well as the Neighborhood Mediation Center.
